A distinctive singer, songwriter, and music producer, Katarzia has established herself as one of the most unique voices on the contemporary Czech-Slovak music scene.
Her musical journey began in 2012 with a concert at the Nu Spirit Club in Bratislava. Her debut album Generácia Y (2013) introduced her as a singer-songwriter with deep, introspective lyrics. Over time, she expanded her sound to include electronic and experimental elements, showcased on the albums Agnostika (2016), Antigona (2018), Celibát (2020), and n5 (2021). Her latest release, Šťastné dieťa (2023), marks a return to acoustic sounds and intimate themes, created in collaboration with producer Petr Ostrouchov and pianist Kristína Smetanová.
Katarzia is known for her socially engaged lyrics and is an outspoken advocate for women’s rights, the LGBTQ+ community, and freedom of expression. Her work has received numerous awards, and she also composes music for theatre and television.
